Working at PATROL
A role at PATROL offers an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to be part of an organisation with a national profile, representing over 300 local authorities across England (outside London) and Wales in the important area of parking and traffic enforcement.
PATROL also oversees the funding and provides a range of services and infrastructure (inc. Finance, HR and IT) for the Traffic Penalty Tribunal, the independent judicial body authorised by the UK Government for the deciding of appeals against traffic penalties issued by these authorities, as well as penalties from other notable national traffic schemes, such as at the Dartford-Thurrock River Crossing.
Due to the direct public and policy impact, as well as the valuable insights and experience of both the authorities’ and the Traffic Penalty Tribunal’s work, PATROL is an increasingly influential voice in central government and the wider transport industry. The Traffic Penalty Tribunal is also consistently held up as an international exemplar in the provision of digital justice and dispute resolution, offering a fully online appeals user experience and associated content.
As a public sector body, PATROL offers attractive pension contributions (to the Local Government Pension Scheme) and a generous holiday entitlement. The organisation also operates a flexi-time system, hybrid working, training and free parking when attending the head office in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
